Violet Reverie is built from dense, overlapping fragments of colour: violet, deep blue, turquoise and white, with touches of black that sharpen the rhythm. Laid down with energetic knife and brush marks, they cross the canvas in diagonals, as if caught in a sudden gust.
Areas of density give way to pockets of light, so the surface never settles into a single view. There is no landscape here, only atmosphere: colour, texture and contrast working together into something cool, intense and quietly restless.
