Rose Tempest is a monochrome storm in saturated magenta and warm pink. Built up through successive layers of acrylic, the surface becomes a topography of gesture: scratched lines, dragged pigment and soft veils of colour settling over one another.
Between the layers, cool undertones of pale blue and lavender rise to the surface and give the unified palette an unexpected depth. As the light changes through the day, the painting shifts from bright and almost playful to deep and quietly intense.
