Depths of Rhodes is a meditation on the world beneath the surface of the Mediterranean, where light fractures through layers of water and memory dissolves into colour. Deep indigo, ultramarine and luminous cerulean are built up in dense, knife-cut layers that evoke the slow descent below the waterline: pressure, silence, the gradual reveal of hidden depths.
Like sea and stone, the surface is stratified, each mark a record of movement and time. Darker currents of navy and violet pulse beneath brighter, almost phosphorescent blues, while raised ridges catch the light like ripples and the recesses draw the eye into shadowed crevices.
